What is the TI Gay & Lesbian Travel program?

The TI Gay & Lesbian Travel program is part of the Zipto Travel Services operated by Travel Impressions, Ltd., (TI) an award winning vacation travel provider for over thirty-five years.  TI is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Express Travel Related Services, Inc.

How do i opt-in to the TI Gay and Lesbian Travel Program?

The TI Gay & Lesbian Travel program is an “opt-in” program.  This means that in order to be able to access the gay-friendly only property data base via www.travimp.com,  you must tell us that you want access.  Following are the easy steps to do so.

STEP #1:    To complete the “opt-in” process you must have Manager Permission Level in Quest for Agents.

To obtain a Manager Permission level in Quest for Agents, please send an email to managerlevel@travimp.com with a subject line of Manager Level. Please include your full name, your Quest username, ARC/IATA/CLIA number, and your title. You will receive a reply email when your registration has been set to Manager Level.

STEP #2:    Once you have obtained Manager Level Permission Level in Quest for Agents, please follow these instructions to activate the program:

  1. Login into Quest for Agents at www.TravelImpressions.com.
  2. From the Agency Menu, click the 'Update Agent Profile' link.
  3. Scroll to the Product Offering box and select the Gay and Lesbian Travel program. (To select more than one brand, hold down the Control key while making your selections/de-selections.)
  4. Click the Make Changes button.
  5. The Gay and Lesbian program will be offered as a Brand on the Trip Planner page for your agency.

Upon completing these instructions you have successfully “opted-in” to the TI Gay & Lesbian Travel program. Welcome!

STEP #3:   This final step is to ensure that Travel Impressions can communicate with you and provide you more information, promotions, enewsletter, etc., regarding the TI Gay & Lesbian Travel program via email.   Please follow these instructions to acknowledge that you wish to receive these emails.

  1. Login into Quest for Agents at www.TravelImpressions.com.
  2. From the Agency Menu, click the “Update Agent Profile” link.
  3. Scroll to the Modify Agency Locator box in the Agency Menu Management section and click.
  4. The email address that is in the box following the line that reads: Enter your company email address if you would like it shown, is the email address to which all information about the TI Gay & Lesbian Travel program will be sent.
  5. Click the Make Changes button

Why should I plan and book my vacation with a travel agency that uses the TI Gay & Lesbian Travel program?

This program was designed to assist you and your travel agent with the planning and booking of your vacation at a gay-friendly destination.  This website contains additional resource information to enhance your vacation experience along with the expertise and knowledge of your travel agent.  Additionally, you and your travel agent can feel comfortable booking any of the destinations contained in the program, because the only properties in the data base and on the web site are gay-friendly properties.

What exactly do you mean when you say this site provides “gay-friendly” hotels and resorts only?

Inquiring about the destination’s gay-friendliness is part of the negotiating process TI conducts with every new property and every contract renewal of the properties in the TI product line.  Each property on the site agree that they are “properties which are open to actively welcoming gay and lesbian vacationers, and are extending the same service levels, courtesies and professionalism as they extend to all other visitors.”
